How do I book an experience?

You can book a single trip or a return trip by downloading the Electrifly app. Note: your booking will be reviewed and confirmed by Electrifly via e-mail. Trips will be offered from 01.07.2024 untill 31.08.2024.


What is the price for an experience?
The price for a single trip will be €120,00. The price for a return trip will be €160,00. This is part of the total cost price based on the EASA cost-sharing principle. 

How do I pay for the experience?
Within the Electrifly app you can choose your date, timeslot, pick up and drop off location. You can pay inside the Electrifly app via creditcard or IDEAL.

What are the available time slots?
Within the Electrifly app you can choose if you want to depart in the morning, afternoon or evening. 


What will be my pick-up time?
After your booking has been reviewed by Electrifly, you will receive an e-mail regarding the confirmation and planning of your trip.

I just made a reservation inquiry. When will my inquiry will be reviewed?
Maximum three days before your requested date you will get a confirmation from Electrifly via e-mail. In accordance with the EASA cost-sharing rules, if the booking cannot proceed in the event that there is no pilot, driver or airplane available or because of weather or other conditions, we will let you know in time. You will be refunded or Electrifly will send you a proposal for an experience on another day.


What is the pick-up area?

The pick-up area is the area maximum 15 kilometers away from Maastricht Aachen Airport, Würselen Aachen Airport or Liège Airport. If your pick-up and drop-off location are within the pick-up area, we can assure you will be picked up by a certified driver in a NIO ET7. Click here to see the pick-up areas. 


I want to cancel my reservation
You can cancel your reservation by sending an e-mail to info@electrifly.store. Please send us your adress, full name and passport number.

Why do I have to provide my weight?
The Pipistrel Velis Electro can carry up to 178 kilograms for pilot and passenger. For safety reasons the passenger cannot weight more then 95 kilograms.

Can I bring luggage? 
It is not possible to bring any luggage on board of the Pipistrel Velis Electro.

Is it possible that my experience gets cancelled?
There might be a possibillity that your experience will be cancelled due operational reasons like bad weather. Electrifly will either propose a new date to you via e-mail or refund your booking. 

What is cost-sharing?
Cost-sharing flights are flights shared by private individuals. The 'cost-shared' part is in reference to the costs of the specific flight which can be shared only between the pilot and others onboard the aircraft. 

How many passengers can fit in the aircraft?
The aircraft can carry one passenger and one pilot.

 

Can I fly to any airport?
No. Electrifly only flies to and from Maastricht Aachen Airport, Würselen Aachen Airport and Liège Airport. 

 

Safety

Is it safe to fly electric?
Since 2020, The Pipistrel Velis Electro is the only EASA-certified electric aircraft. This means that EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) gave their approval for using this type of aircraft. 

How long can the airplane stay in the air?
The Pipistrel Velis Electro can fly for 64 minutes, including take off and landing. The flight time from Maastricht Aachen Airport to Würselen Aachen Airport is 16 minutes, the flight time from Maastricht Aachen Airport to Liège Airport is 18 minutes and the flight time from Würselen Aachen Airport to Liège Airport is 26 minutes.

Are there any restrictions on board?
The weight of the pilot and passenger can be maximum 178 kilograms together. It is not possible to bring any luggage. 

Are the pilots certified to fly the aircraft?
Yes, all pilots participating this project are certified to fly the Pipistrel Velis Electro. The pilots are trained by ASL Academy and Westflug Aachen. 

 

Privacy / Data

What happens with my data?

What data will be collected during my booking?
The following data is collected during your booking on Electrifly app:
- Full name
- Email adress
- Document number
- Phone number
- Weight

If you upload a user photo the following data will be stored as well:
- Photo 


Please be aware that data like location and time could be stored inside a photo from your gallery. This is only optional and does not impact the functionality in any way. It will not be shared with any third party.

What will my data be used for?
Data is only used to process your booking and will not be shared with any third party. 

All stored data will be permanently deleted after 01.09.2024. 

Stripe
Your payment is processed via Stripe. Stripe collects data to improve their products and counteract fraud. The collected data will never be used for marketing purposes. For further details: https://stripe.com/privacy

The project

What is emission free transportation?
A zero emission engine, motor, process, or other energy source emits no waste products that pollute the environment or disrupt the climate.

Why is Electrifly innovative?
Electrifly makes it possible for passangers to travel fully electric through air from one country to another. This is made possible by the EASA cost-sharing principle. The fact that NIO is providing electric vehicles, means that this is an international door-to-door emission free project. Over land and through the air.

Are you the first electric aircraft operator?
No, we are not. But we are the first to fly passengers cross border on an electric aircraft. This is made possible by the Easa cost-sharing principle.
